Throwing the wig aside after wearing it or storing the wig without cleaning will make the wig damp, moldy, or bitten by insects, which will cause damage to the hair. Therefore, if you don't use it for a period of time, you must learn to store it properly.
1. After washing the wig thoroughly, air-dry it in a cool place, cover the washed wig with a hair net, and put it into a sealable plastic bag with good air permeability and small round holes. If it is an ordinary plastic bag, you can also use a needle to pierce the bag with a few holes.
If possible, try to put it on the mannequin head or a wig stand that is smaller than the base of the cap to keep it from getting stretched, which will maximize the style of the wig and avoid curling or tangling.
2. Store the wig in a dry and ventilated place, which can prolong the life of the wig. Avoid contact with chlorine, water and hot water to avoid damaging your wig. Do not fold the wig, which will cause extra curls in the hair.
3. Avoid sunlight exposure and humid environment, because sunlight fades the color and humid environment damages the hair. Please pay attention to dustproof. Dust will make the wig dusty and greasy, increasing the number of cleanings, and excessive cleaning will also cause damage to the wig. Keep it out of reach of children and pets, otherwise the beautiful wig will be their best toy.
4. If you wear it often, you should also spray a little hair care serum.
5. In the initial use of the wig, it is better to be a little tighter, because the wig will be looser than the original after a long time of use.
Over time, like our natural hair, your wig will lose hair, which is a natural and inevitable part of the wig life cycle. But we can try to take good care of the wig and store it to prolong its life.
